SEVA CIRCLE

SEVA CIRCLE
SEVA Circle

Our group has voted to call itself SEVA CIRCLE, and we encompass both service and Spirituality.

Seva (pronounced SAY-VA) is a Sanskrit word whose root word means both “serve” and “worship.”  Seva is selfless service, compassionate volunteer work performed without any expectation of return or reward.  Seva embraces the attitude that serving humanity is also serving God.

Seva Circle is no longer the “ladies” group at our Center.  We are now co-ed and we are the Community Service organization of the Center!  Our focus is still on service and spirituality and we know there is much we can do in service to this community on the Ridge.  One of the new  projects we’re looking at this spring is to help cleanup yards for elderly and disabled people who can’t do it for themselves.

We still will meet on the first Saturday of each month, but we will now be meeting at 8 am and Bill Richards is planning on preparing breakfast for everyone.  So please signup in Fellowship Hall if you are planning to attend. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting . and don’t forget your cans and boxes for our Help for People basket.
