Greetings from the WebMaster
My name is Ron Rose, and as you might have noticed, I designed this website for you. Some people may think it was for the church, but No, it's for you.
I am really concerned that you have a good and informational time while here, so I made some design decisions that would help (I hope).
A decision I made was to keep the gidgets and gadgets at a minimum. You won't find a lot of menus bouncing around and each page should be easily accessible to all, including those with disability (especially those with page readers).
The second decision was the use of these pop-out window which you are on right now. When you navigate to certain parts of the site, you will notice there are a few links that you can click on that will open another page in a new window that is related to the page you were on and the link you clicked on. When you are finished viewing that page you can either click on the "X" button located in the upper right corner of the window, or, click on the "Close This Window" button like the one below. Either way will close the window and return you to the previous page.
(1/15/08) I updated this site recently.
- You will find fewer of these pop out pages around. I found they were being navigated incorrectly, so I got rid of most of them and integrated the information on other pages.
- I also changed the overall navigation. I found that people using lower resolution monitors were not able to take full advantage of the "fixed" navigation that was there. The menu now scrolls with the rest of the page. I feel it is much easier to access.
(9/01/08) What did you do on Labor Day? This is what I did.
- Because of a new (and I hope announced) change in Religious Science International's affiliation with United Churches of Religious Science, we will be soon a "Center for Spiritual Living". I went ahead and created a new header logo that reflects the current merge that is in process.
- I, also, set a new background image, inspired by Rev. Andy's constant reference to "we are a lighthouse to our community". I hope it works for you.
- For all of you web-geeks; In all this process, I discovered some CSS code having to do with the menu that wasn't working well. I fixed most of it. For most everyone, this is a barely noticeable change, but it will load the menu a bit cleaner, and faster... and there's is just something clean, about clean code. (This will be a continuing endeavor; there are some <again barely noticeable> areas that need work. The whole idea is to "clean" up the errors and get rid of exteraneous code).
- Did my normal work in content updates. Changed some pics.
- I plan to do more work on making the site more Search Engine Optimized (SEO).

I hope you have a good time while on the site. I even hope you have a chance to visit the church. It's a nice place with nice people doing nice things. If you do, come and find me. I'd like to meet you. Till then, let God's love light(en) your heart

Here is, probably, my most favorite picture. I keep it near me and love to look at it. It is of me and my grand-daughter, Felicia. In her mind, I think, she thinks, she is flying. In my mind, I am holding onto her, knowing I can't fly, but really wanting to, and knowing that she can. How do I, again, know I can fly like her? I know I used to, and somehow have forgotten. I love her for that knowing (because she thinks "Grandpa" can fly, too). Grandpa's can do anything... except fly like her.
